April 2010	FS Global 2010 SP1 released! Due to the nature of SRTM in flat areas high buildings can be mistaken for a hill. It is impossible to solve this issue by reworking data using a special algorithm. We therefore decided to switch data sources for North America. Instead of SRTM we will be using alternative data in future versions of FS Global. SP1 addresses obvious issues of this nature in the area of Florida. To download SP1 you need to be logged into your account and have your copy (Serial Number) of FS Global 2010 registered at My Products. Once you have done so you will be able to access SP1 at My Downloads in the folder FS Global 2010. To determine, if you are running R1, please check the readme file on your DVD1. If the header says "PILOT'S FS Global 2010 R1 for ..." then you need SP1. DO NOT INSTALL SP1, IF YOU RUN A LATER VERSION!
March 2010	FS Global 2010 awarded! During Aerosofts 8. FlightSim Convention held March 13th in Munich PILOT'S was awarded with both, the user- and the editorsaward founded by FlighXPress. For the user award FS Global 2010 had to go through two selections of online voting by visitors of the FlightXpress website. The remaining three (out of ten) competed in the second round for the final prize. FS Global 2010 could win by a clear margin over Ground Environement X and Ultimate Terrains Series.
